Mag. Sascha Kowarcz
Sascha Kowarcz has been working in the market research industry for 23 years.
Born in Klagenfurt (Austria) in 1969, he successfully finished high school in Klagenfurt-Viktring in 1988. Afterwards he moved to Vienna studying business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
As he likes figures and loves statistics (especially sports tables), the way from his diploma to the market research branch was not too far.
Starting his professional career at a newspaper publisher, he moved after one year to Info Research International, a well-established Austrian Research Agency, associated with one of the worldwide largest market research organisations. A couple of years ago Info Research International became KANTAR TNS Austria.
In nine years he was leading as Senior Research Executive, authorized officer and Research Director more than 200 research projects for clients in different branches and the public sector. His focus was, like in his entire career, at the FMCG-sector. Besides that he was responsible for the marketing activities of the institute for many years.
At tele.ring Sascha Kowarcz established the market research department in the phase of the mobile phone launch of the company.
At Coca-Cola he was head of market research for up to nine countries in Central & Southern Europe for ten years. Besides market research he was also responsible for strategic marketing and business planning. In the last two years Sascha Kowarcz was responsible for market research for Coca-Cola TM in 23 countries in Central & Southern Europe.
In Zurich at Beverage Partners Worldwide (Joint Venture between Coca-Cola and Nestlé) he was responsible for market research in more than 20 countries globally.
As self-employed market researcher Sascha Kowarcz led multinational studies for his global clients. Furthermore he improved global research methodologies and worked as consultant when companies wanted to expand their business.
He is member of the Association of Austrian Market Researchers.
Sascha Kowarcz has two sons. His areas of interest apart from market research and marketing are sports, psychology, history and music.
